Yummy little balls of natural goodness to curb your cravings and keep you away from refined sugar. These are great as little afternoon office snacks, or post yoga class pick-me-ups. Vegetarian and vegan friendly.
So simple to make, with all raw ingredients:

Makes about 18 balls:
250g medjool dates, pitted
100g almonds, chopped
50g pistachios, chopped
100g cashews, chopped
(You can use any nuts you like really)
1 tsp coconut oil
Pinch of salt
Crushed cardomom pods to taste, husks removed
2 tbsp raw cacao or cocoa
Coconut oil on hands to roll
Put all nuts in a processor and blend until roughly chopped.
Soak dates for 30 minutes in warm water to soften, then chop and blend in food processor. Mix in the nuts, coconut oil and cacao / cocoa. Add a pinch of salt and cardamom to the mixture to taste.
Wash and then grease hands with coconut oil and roll mixture into small balls.
Leave to set at room temperature. Store in an airtight container.
